Geology of Belonging (2023–present)

An ongoing series exploring material continuity & geological time.

Following the elemental investigations of The Atomic Series, Geology of Belonging marks my return to the shoreline, to the daily rituals of ebb and flow, where mineral matter meets the sea in a continuous process of transformation.

Working with earth pigments, marble dust and pumice, I explore the geological memory of materials through delicate compositions. By combining these materials, I bring together different geological histories and textures of the Cycladic landscape. Each work becomes a quiet encounter with the land, carrying traces of deep time into the immediacy of artistic expression.

Rooted in the rhythms of island life, I see this evolving series as a geological archive of the Cyclades, an intimate dialogue between matter, place and belonging.
